Monkey Thanks for Your Purchase

Monkey Thanks for Your Purchase
Made this card for another of my first time Copic markers buyers who uses Copic markers in her arts. From her blog, I know that she wants to be a successful zoologist. Well, that make me wonder why she is into art.....but I remind myself not to judge the book by its cover as you never know what talents do a person hold. Thus, maybe she is well talented in art as well.....

Close-up: Coconut tree with a monkey
I choose a coconut tree with a monkey image as my buyer ambition is to be a successful zoologist. I try to link something that is related to her so that she feel more personal when receiving the card. The image is stamped onto a white card stock and colored using Copic marker. Then, the sky and grassland is created using distress ink. Three (3) orange brads are attached onto the left side of the card as in sketch. It is then attached onto a red card base which already lined with colorful polka dots washi tape using pop dots.

Close-up: Speech bubble with sentiment
The sentiment is stamped onto a speech bubble and trimmed accordingly. It is attached above the monkey as if the monkey speaking it using partial pop dots and glue. The sentiment arrangement on the sketch make it perfect for such creation! Lastly, three (3) orange gems are added to the bottom of the sentiment.

Have A Happy Heart Corner Bookmark

Have A Happy Heart Corner Bookmark
Testing one of my new toys bought previous, the Simon Says Stamp Bookmark It! craft dies by making this little corner bookmark.

I die cut the corner bookmark and then fold it accordingly to the line. Then, the opening is sealed to form a pocket or slit insert.

On a white circle, I stamped the circle image that bundle together with the sentiment. As I am reading a love story book currently, I would like to have a kind of matching bookmark to go with the book. Actually I plan to have different kind of bookmark for the books that I will read. Hopefully I can make more bookmark soon.

I colored the heart in the center of the stamped image and dot the dots with the silver ink pen so that there is some sparkles on it. After all, love is about sparkle, right? :P I also add some faux stitching line along the outer circle of the image using purple ink pen so that it is a bit colorful.

The circle is then attached onto the corner bookmark. Another white blank circle is attach to the back of the circle so that the corner bookmark is now sandwiched between the white circles.

Rose Thank You Teacher

Rose Thank You Teacher
This is the third thank you card I made for my daughter's teacher and wow, I made three (3) cards in an afternoon! It a record! But mainly due to urgency and time constraints! Hahahaha.....

Fusion Card Challenge - Embossed Ombre
For this card, I decided to adopt both the sketch and inspiration photo from Fusion Card Challenge - Embossed Ombre as shown above. I was inspired by emboss on the cake but decided to ditch away ombre as I am not good at it. Again, I rotate the sketch clockwise.

Close-up: Embossed vellum
As inspired by the emboss on the cake, I decided to use vellum for wet embossing. The pattern is punched onto a strip of vellum and emboss. I like the outcome as the vellum embossing wet look is almost same in the cake. It is then attached onto a green strip which then attached onto the white card base.

Close-up: Sentiment
On another bluish strip, the sentiment is stamped and attached onto the card base as in sketch.

Close-up: 3D rose on a doily
I decided to make my signature 3D rose again. On a white card stock, three (3) roses are stamped and colored using Copic markers. Then, the colored roses are trimmed. Three (3) roses are layered upon each to create some dimension using pop dots. Before attaching the rose onto the card base, I attach a yellow mini doily die cut near the sentiment strip as in the sketch. After that, the 3D rose is attach onto the yellow mini doily.

Dimension : 10.16cm x 15.24cm or 4" x 6"
Type : Horizontal fold
Inlay : None

Embossed Green and Red Thanks Teacher

Embossed Green and Red Thanks Teacher
This is the second thank you card I made for my daughter's teacher.

The Friday Mashup Challenge - FM186
I adopt the sketch from The Friday Mashup Challenge - FM186 as shown above and rotate it clockwise so that the sentiment would fit. I decided to use the sketch only as I am out of ideas on how to incorporate "surprise element, something you wouldn't expect to see on a card/or an unexpected embellishment".

Close-up: Dry embossed green and red strips
A piece of green card stock is dry embossed with polka dots while a red card stock is dry embossed with flowers. Then, it is trimmed into the desired size and attached onto a white card stock.

Close-up: Sentiment
The sentiment is stamped below the strips and the empty gap in the letters of 'Thanks' is colored using Copic marker. The card is finished off with some green gems added to the front and back of 'teacher' wording.

Dimension : 10.16cm x 15.24cm or 4" x 6"

Doily Thank You Teacher

Doily Thank You Teacher
Next week will be the last week of schooling days marking another year has passed. Thus, I am starting to make some thank you cards for my daughter's teachers as their efforts for being a teacher are really truly appreciated by me at least. Here the take for my first card!

Deconstructed Sketch No. 177
I adopt the sketch from Deconstructed Sketch No. 177 as shown above and rotate it clockwise.

A green background with white dots pattern paper is trimmed into the desired size. Then, it is tied with a pink-white twine as in the sketch. Once the ends has been secured, it is attached onto a pink card base.

Close-up: Mini doily with sentiment
A mini doily is die cut using yellow card stock and attached to the center of the card where the twine crossed each other using pop dots. The sentiment is stamped onto a white circle and attached onto the yellow doily using pop dots as well.

Close-up: 'Teacher' wording die cut
Finally, the word 'teacher' is die cut using red card stock and attached at the bottom of the doily.

Dimension : 10.16cm x 15.24cm or 4" x 6"
Type : Horizontal fold
Inlay : None

Cow All the Best!

Cow All the Best!
Made this card for one of my quick returning Copic markers buyers who uses Copic markers in his arts. He is in need of the Copic markers because he wants to use it for competition. Thus, instead of making him a thank you card, I made him a best wishes card to wish him all the best in his competition.

Sketch Saturday Week #335
I adopt the simple sketch from Sketch Saturday Week #335 as shown above.

The cow is stamped onto a white stitched journal card and colored using Copic markers. Then, some grasses are stamped below the cow's legs using green ink.
Close-up: Cow in the stitched journal card
On a blue card base, it is layered with a yellow card stock. A green plaid pattern paper is layered onto of the yellow card stock as shown in the sketch. Then, the stitched journal card is layered upon it.

Close-up: Speech bubble and sentiment
A speech bubble is stamped onto a blue card stock follow by the sentiment. It is then trimmed and attached onto the card base as in sketch using pop dots. The top of the speech bubble is purposely hanging off the edge a little. Three (3) mini bubble trail is stamped accordingly onto the stitched journal card to coordinate with the speech bubble.

Dimension : 10.16cm x 15.24cm or 4" x 6"
Type : Horizontal fold
Inlay : None

Bunny Just Wanted to Say Thank You for Your Purchase

Bunny Just Wanted to Say Thank You for Your Purchase
Made this card for another of my first time Copic markers buyers who uses Copic markers in his arts.

I decided to use a tag as the main focal as suggest in the sketch. The bunny is stamped on a white rounded corners rectangular and colored using Copic markers. It is attached onto a yellow tag using pop dots. The tag is completed with the grey and blue twines and two (2) googly eyes.
Close-up: The tag
On a green card base, some various 'masking stickers' patterns are attached onto the top portion of the card base in zig zag way. The tag is attached directly onto these 'masking stickers'.

Close-up: Sentiment with silver glitter ink
The sentiment is stamped at the right corner bottom of the card base. Again, the space in the word 'Thank You' is filled or colored with silver glitter ink to emphasis it.

Dimension : 10.16cm x 15.24cm or 4" x 6"
Type : Vertical fold
Inlay : None

Just Wanted to Say Thank You for Your Purchase Roses

Fusion Card Challenge - Something Wicked This Way Comes...or Not...
I decided to use the inspiration photo and sketch from Fusion Card Challenge - Something Wicked This Way Comes...or Not... as shown above. I was inspired by the roses and its colors on the dining table. I turned the sketch clock wise so that the row of roses would fit nicely.

Close-up: Row of roses
As the sketch suggests, I decided to use rose to replace the three (3) squares. I also decided to create my signature 3D rose for one of the roses. On a white card stock, five (5) roses and six (6) leaves are stamped and colored using Copic markers. Then, the colored roses and leaves are trimmed. Three (3) roses are layered upon each to create some dimension using pop dots. The leaves are tucked behind the roses as decoration before attaching them onto a pink card base.
Close-up: 3D rose in the center

The sentiment is stamped at the center bottom of the roses. The space in the word 'Thank You' is filled or colored with silver glitter ink to emphasis it.
